It is the result of my passion for sinister and unusual animation and graphic design. I am an English animation student keen striving to continually develop my skills in all aspects of animated production. My work is beginning to explore marrying traditional, experimental and digital techniques with emotionally resonant cinematography; an area of animation that fascinates me. I am also beginning to incorporate more programming into my work flow… I enjoy using a variety of natural media and traditional techniques, and when working digitally favour painting frames individually in Corel Painter. I am inspired by human emotion, the momentary and mundane experiences that make up our lives, by what else may be and by all the wonderful work out there. In a big way my work is as much about the journey as the finished piece. I work straight through from start to finish and embrace the flaws and surprises this lends my animations. When not animating I teach Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite 2 to groups of adults and young people. I am currently looking for a placement in Barcelona to develop professionally and learn, learn, learn! Barcelona inspires me greatly and I am looking for an internship for my student placement year. I have so much to learn and a professional studio really is the place. I aim to use this placement to develop my animation and illustration skills and to learn to use as many software tools as possible to a high professional standard. The ideal placement will offer me the opportunity to work in a broad variety of styles and mediums as part of an exceptionally skilled and innovative team. Soy un estudiante nativo inglés de animación con ganas de desarrollar continuamente mis habilidades en todos los aspectos de producción animada. En los trabajos que hago, estoy investigando combinar técnicas tradicionales, experimentales y digitales con cinematografía resonante emocionalmente; un campo de animación que me fascina. También empiezo a incorporar más programación a mis trabajos. Disfruto de usar una variedad de medios naturales y técnicas tradicionales, y cuando trabajando de una forma digital, prefiero pintar las fotogramas una por una utilizando Corel Painter. Me inspira la emoción humana, las experiencias momentáneos y rutinarios de que existan nuestras vidas, las cosas que puedan existir y todos los trabajos fantásticos que ya existen. Ahora mismo estoy considerando los trabajos de Jean-Michel Basquiat, Eduard Nazarov, Dwinell Grant, Cordell Barrer y Flip Jonson. En muchos aspectos mi trabajo va tanto del viaje para llegar al terminar, que el trabajo terminado. Trabajo sin parar desde el principio hasta el final y abrazo los fallos y sorpresas que trabajar así da a mis animaciones. Cuando no estoy haciendo animaciones, doy clases de Final Cut Pro y Adobe Creative Suite 2 a grupos de adultos y jóvenes. Actualmente estoy buscando una oportunidad de hacer un año de prácticas en Barcelona para desarrollar profesionalmente y ¡aprender al máximo!
